Dr. Ajax Mohamed, a DAAD fellow with a PhD in Chemistry from AMU, completed post-doctoral research at Göttingen and Goethe University Frankfurt.
He is the founding President of the AMU Alumni Association Germany e.V., building academic and professional bridges between India and Germany.
Former President of Kerala Samajam Frankfurt (KSF), he now leads TiE Germany as President. Through mentoring and leadership, he supports entrepreneurship and innovation.
Dr. Mohamed is dedicated to strengthening the global AMU alumni network and creating opportunities for Aligs in Germany.

Imran Ahmad graduated in Geology from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and is currently Head of PMO and a digital transformation professional with over 14 years of experience in regulatory organizations and the banking technology sector.

Dr. Akram Mohd, our CFO, oversees the AMUAAG financial operations.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from AMU (2007–2010), followed by a master’s from IIT Roorkee and a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg. He is currently a Senior Scientist at Formycon AG, Munich.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Technology with a specialization in Computer Science. I have professional experience as a Test Engineer, where I was involved in both manual and automation testing. Additionally, I’ve worked in a Direct Marketing company, gaining valuable insights into customer engagement and outreach strategies.
I also have experience as an Event Moderator, having worked with an Event Management company to coordinate and facilitate various events.

I am Dr. Afsheen Shahid, postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Research, Robert Koch Institute, Berlin.
I completed my Master's in 2012 and PhD in 2018 from Department of Botany, AMU.

Arif is Vice President, Global Enterprise High Growth Programs at SAP SE. With over 26 years of experience at SAP, he has held multiple regional and global leadership roles, driving growth and transformation initiatives across diverse markets.
He holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. A certified Global Business Transformation Manager, Arif has completed executive leadership training at Harvard Business School, Boston, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Mannheim Business School, expected to be completed in October 2025.

Shajee Ahmad Alvi began his journey at Aligarh Muslim University in 1994 and continued his higher studies there until 2003, earning a degree of Master’s in Computer Applications. During this long and enriching stay, he had the opportunity to live in Allama Iqbal Hall, Ross Masood Hall, and Sir Shah Suleiman Hall, each adding to his treasured memories of campus life.
Beyond academics, he immersed himself in the cultural fabric of AMU—participating at University Literary and Snooker Clubs, learning French and German languages, and anchoring events for his clubs and at the Department of Computer Science. These experiences shaped his confidence and brought him close to students from diverse fields, leaving him with friendships and moments he continues to cherish.
Professionally, Shajee has extensive expertise in the fullstack of software development processes and has built a distinguished career in Information Technology. He is currently a Senior Cloud Architect at IBM Nordcloud Gmbh, with prior professional experience in New Delhi, India, before moving to Germany.

Aftab Alam is the Director – Mining Vertical, Global Key Accounts, and Commercial Head APAC at Kemira Chemicals Germany. He brings over two decades of global leadership experience in the specialty chemicals and mining sectors.
Aftab holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (2000) and an MBA in Marketing from the USA. Originally from Lucknow, India, he has lived and worked internationally, including 19 years in Dubai, and has been based in Ludwigshafen, Germany since 2000.
